On June 1, in the magnificent hall of the European Parliament, named after the prominent Bulgarian Atanas Burov, the official opening of the exhibition was held, including 40 photographs and a 4-meter model of Perperikon, created by the team of the famous specialist Sunny Suninski.
Special guests at the event were Prof. Maria Neikova, Regional Governor of Burgas Region and Dean of the Faculty of Law at Burgas Free University, His Excellency Mr. Rumen Alexandrov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the European Parliament, Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov, Head of Archaeological Research in the Eastern Rhodopes, the mayor of the city of Kardzhali, Mr. Hassan Azis, and the director of the Regional History Museum in Kardzhali, Mrs. Daniela Kojamanova, as well as almost all Bulgarian and many foreign MEPs.
